Interesting Development in Worker’s Online Rights

This is a very interesting story I found over on Slashdot. Seems that a decent employee was fired for talking about her boss on Facebook. Protected free speech, countered the National Labor Relations Board. Very interesting.

It seems like the law - specifically, labor relations, is catching up to the idea that online speech is still that - speech, and therefore protected. Now it's not going to stop the at will hiring states from getting you fired for no cause, but that coupled with some changing HR policies I've seen of late around the area makes a case that things are loosening up for online speech.

I'd really like to open up this journal again, but can't until I'm certain I won't have the same situation I had a while back. Just not interested in going through all that again.
